Hi, I’m Matthew R. Van Slyke, owner and founder of MRV Your LMT as well as a licensed massage therapist in the state of Ohio, fitness enthusiast, and wellness advocate. My background in the performing arts gave me a deep respect for the body as both an instrument and a source of resilience. Years spent on stage taught me the importance of alignment, endurance, and recovery—insights I now bring into my massage practice.

Alongside theatre, I’ve spent years building my own wellness routine through strength training, meal prepping, and consistent fitness habits. That dedication allows me to understand the body not just academically, but experientially—how it performs, adapts, and heals. It’s this combination of artistry, discipline, and lived practice that shapes the care I offer to clients.

With my practice my goal is to blend clinical skill with compassionate care—providing massage that relieves tension, restores mobility, and helps you feel more at home in your body. Whether you’re recovering from strain, seeking improved performance, or simply needing to reset, I aim to create a space where you feel supported and genuinely cared for.

Although I’m just beginning my professional journey, I am committed to continual growth. My future studies will include Athletic Training, Sports Massage, Therapeutic Stretching, Neuromuscular Therapy, Acupuncture, and Ayurvedic Medicine—modalities that will allow me to expand the ways I can support your health and well-being. My mission is simple: to meet you where you are, and to help you move forward with greater strength, balance, and ease.
